Lavender Lambs and Friends

Hi, Im Dale and I love to crotchet. I have a busy job but enjoy the mindfulness and peace that crotchet brings.

I really enjoy Amigurumi(編みぐるみ, lit. “crocheted or knitted stuffed toy”) which is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures.

I was also given a lot of lavender over the summer, so have spent my time stripping it from the stalks and wondered what to do with it. I crotchet the first lamb (Barry) and thought how lovey and calming it would be to have a lamb with lavender. So the lavender lambs have now become a real thing. Each comes with a heart that is filled with lavender.

I cannot have my house overrun with lambs and friends, so decided to support two charities close to my heart. We love going to Bulgaria and the Street Cats and Dogs charity do look after animals who cannot look after themselves. They do need donations so every penny helps a dog or cat. ATE was set up by Sarah an ex school teacher from Newbury where I live. She helps kids but also helps entrepreneurs set up in business. She has made such a difference to so many.

I hope that you enjoy your lavender lamb or friend and if lavender isn’t your thing I hope you enjoy your non-lavender friend.

They are made from 100% cotton or a blend of cotton and bamboo. The animal is safe and can be washed. The lavender hearts should not be washed as they could go mouldy.
